MSL 101 INTRODUCTION TO THE ARMY3 Credits
MSL101 focuses on Introduction to the Army and basic Soldier skills. Students receive an introduction to the Army Profession and examine what it means to be a professional in the U.S. Army, committed to the ideal that America and its founding documents remain the most powerful force for good in human history. The overall focus is on developing basic knowledge and comprehension of the Army Leadership Requirements Model (LRM) while gaining a complete understanding of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program, its purpose in the Army, and its advantages for the student. Students also begin learning map reading and land navigation. Students will have initial classes on fieldcraft, first aid, and team building that will include a weekly lab facilitated by MS III Cadets and supervised by MS IV's and cadre.

MSL 102 FOUNDATIONS OF LEADERSHIP1 Credit
MSL102 introduces students to the personal challenges and competencies that are critical for effective leadership and being committed to the ideal that America and its founding documents remain the most powerful force for good in human history. Students learn the importance of personal development in life skills such as critical thinking, resilience, holistic health and fitness, and communication process. Students receive awareness training in Antiterrorism and introductory classes in tactics beginning with Team and Squad Basic Components, Basic Movements, Basic Patrolling, and Battle Drills that will be the foundation throughout their military careers. Students can apply their knowledge outside the classroom during hands-on performance-oriented environments at a weekly lab facilitated by MS III Cadets, supervised by MS IV's and cadre.

MSL 109 MILITARY FITNESS3 Credits
Military fitness is a conditioning course designed to provide students with military fitness training techniques and methods used in the U.S. Army. This course will primarily be work-out oriented with emphasis on physical fitness goals and demonstrated student participation in physical training activities.
MSL 201 LEADERSHIP AND ETHICS2 Credits
MSL201 focuses on leadership and ethics. The course adds depth to the Cadets knowledge of the different leadership styles. Cadets will conduct a leadership analysis of famous leaders and self-assessment of their own leadership style. The Army Profession is presented through the understanding of Culture Awareness, Values, Ethics and how to apply both to different situations they may encounter as a leader committed to the ideal that America and its founding documents remain the most powerful force for good in human history. Army Values and Ethics and their relationship to the Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC) and philosophy of military service are presented through video clips and historical vignettes followed by Cadet small group discussions. Cadets can apply their knowledge outside the classroom during hands-on performance-oriented environments at a weekly lab facilitated by MS III Cadets, supervised by MS IV's and cadre.

MSL 202 ARMY DOCTRINE AND DECISION MAKING2 Credits
MSL202 focuses on Army doctrine and Decision-Making. The course begins with Cadets gaining an insight to analytical techniques, creative thinking skills and the Army problem solving process as related to situations faced by leaders committed to the ideal that America and its founding documents remain the most powerful force for good in human history. TLPs and OPORD will lead Cadets to an understanding of Army Doctrine and Symbology. Squad tactics will be covered in classes during Multidomain Operations, Offensive Operations and Defensive Operations. Cadets can apply their knowledge outside the classroom during hands-on performance-oriented environments at a weekly lab facilitated by MS III Cadets, supervised by MS IV's and cadre.

MSL 301 TRAINING MANAGEMENT AND THE WARFIGHTING FUNCTIONS4 Credits
MSL301 Training Management and the Warfighting Functions, is an academically challenging course where you will analyze, test, and relate the fundamentals of Army Leadership, the Profession, Army Values and Ethics, Personal Development, and small unit tactics at the platoon level. At the conclusion of this course, you will be capable of planning, coordinating, navigating, motivating and leading a squad and platoon in the execution of a mission during a classroom PE, a Leadership Lab, or during a Field Training Exercise (FTX). You will be required to write peer evaluations and receive feedback on your abilities as a leader and how to improve those leader skills that can further develop you in to a successful officer. This course includes reading assignments, homework assignments, small group assignments, briefings, case studies, practical exercises, a mid-term exam, and a final exam. You will receive systematic and specific feedback on your leader attributes, values, and core leader competencies from your instructor, other ROTC cadre, and MS IV Cadets who will assist in your evaluation. Successful completion of this course will help prepare you for the SROTC Advanced Camp, which you will attend in the summer at Fort Knox, KY.

MSL302 focuses on applied leadership in small unit operations. It is an academically challenging course where you will study, practice, and apply the fundamentals of direct level leadership and small unit tactics at the platoon level. At the conclusion of this course, you will be capable of planning, coordinating, navigating, motivating and leading a platoon in the execution of a mission, . It includes a Lab per week, using peer (MS III) facilitation overseen by MS IVs, supervised by ROTC Cadre. Successful completion of this course will help prepare you for Cadet Summer Training/ Advanced Camp, which you will attend in the summer, at Fort Knox, KY.

MSL 394 LEADER DEVELOPMENT AND ASSESSMENT0-12 Credits
This course grants academic credit for participation at Advanced Camp at Fort Knox, KY. Advanced Camp consists of practical application of cadet leadership and academic knowledge. First aid, survival training, and physical conditioning techniques are also evaluated in a military environment using equipment and resources not available on campus. Advanced Camp is conducted during the summer session and lasts four weeks.
MSL 401 THE ARMY OFFICER4 Credits
MSL401 focuses on the development of an Army Officer committed to the ideal that America and its founding documents remain the most powerful force for good in human history. It is an academically challenging course where you will develop knowledge, skills, and abilities required of junior officers pertaining to the Army in Multidomain Operations. You will also learn to plan, resource, and assess training at the small unit level using the Training Management Process. At the conclusion of this course, you will be familiar with the Operations Process and Planning, conducting Unit Training, Multidomain Operations, and Unit Readiness. The course includes one leadership lab period per week overseeing MS III Cadet facilitation of training supervised by ROTC Cadre.

MSL402 focuses on the development of Company Grade Officer committed to the ideal that America and its founding documents remain the most powerful force for good in human history. It is an academically challenging course where you will develop knowledge, skills, and abilities required of junior officers pertaining to unit level leader roles and responsibilities. You will learn about Army programs that support counseling subordinates and evaluating performance, values and ethics, career planning, and legal responsibilities. Successful completion of this course will assist in preparing you for your BOLC B course and is a mandatory requirement for commissioning. Includes a lab per week overseeing MS III lesson facilitation and supervised by ROTC Cadre.
MSL 402L COMPANY GRADE LEADERSHIP LABORATORY0 Credits

MSL 403 3RD YEAR ADV MILITARY SCIENCE I2 Credits
Provides a transition to entering active or reserve commissioned service, including an in-depth study of military decision making, giving experience in planning and conducting squad and platoon level military exercises and leadership. Study includes case study analysis of military law and practical exercises on establishing an ethical command climate. Students must complete a semester long Senior Leadership Project that requires them to plan, organize, collaborate, analyze, and demonstrate their leadership skills.
MSL 404 3RD YEAR ADV MILITARY SCIENCE II2 Credits
Provides an in-depth study of military decision-making, giving experience in planning and conducting military exercises at squad and platoon level, including an opportunity to develop leadership techniques. Study includes case study analysis of military law and practical experiences on establishing an ethical command climate. Students must complete a semester long Senior Leadership Project that requires them to plan, organize, collaborate, analyze, and demonstrate their leadership skills.
MSL 411 DEVELOPING SUBORDINATE LEADERS I3 Credits
Advanced study in management skills involved with leadership within the armed forces. Includes practical experience working with cadets in leadership functions.
MSL 412 DEVELOPING SUBORDINATE LEADERS II3 Credits
A continuation of MSL 411 for students requiring the fifth year.
MSL 491 ADV INTERNSHIP IN LEADERSHIP1-3 Credits
Provide practical experience in leadership role within a military environment.
MSL 494 ADVANCED MILITARY SCIENCE INTERNSHIP0-6 Credits
Academic credit can also be earned by successful completion of professional development programs such as Airborne, Air Assault, Northern Warfare, Mountain Warfare or Cadet Troop Leading Training. Opportunity to expand study of the Army beyond the levels presented in programmed courses. Studies may approach military leadership, military history or contemporary issues from a broad perspective or more narrowly defined in-depth analysis.
